Summary data for all sites

Welcome

Welcome to Chelmsford Borough Councils' new real-time air quality pages. Launched on December 1st 2007, this site has been designed to provide the public with accurate, precise and up to the minute data from our automatic air quality analysers across the borough.

This website is intended to be online resource of near real-time air quality data and meteorological data, not only for residents of Chelmsford but also for students and medical health professionals alike. The website has been designed in line with the index banding system which is indended to convey the information in a more simplistic way.

Current alerts:

The peaks in Particulate Matter (PM10) experienced between 23rd and 25th January 2008 were due to the deposition of Saharan sand that was observed throughout Southern England between these dates. This was detected at all automated monitoring stations in East Anglia, London and Southern England.

Owing to technical difficulties we are unable to provide real-time air quality data at present. We are working with technicians to resolve these issues soon.

A scroll bar will appear when there are multiple alerts.
